Gurden's Body Shop started with one bay, one owner, and a phone that actually got answered. Thirty years later, that's still how we run — with a bigger crew and a lot more northern Michigan drivers on the map.
Our story
Gurden's Body Shop opened its doors 30 years ago in Cadillac, Michigan, after owner Trevor Gurden spent years turning wrenches under other shops where every visit ended in a sales pitch. The plan was simple: show up when we said we would, fix what was actually broken, and quote replacements only when a repair didn't make sense. It turned out northern Michigan drivers were ready for that.
How we work
Every repair starts with a real assessment, not a guess. We handle the whole job under one roof — frame straightening, panel replacement, dent and bumper repair, paint, glass, and the insurance paperwork. You'll see a clear estimate before any work starts. If something's borderline, we'll tell you it's borderline and give you both options in plain language.
What services we provide
We handle the full range of auto body and collision repair: collision repair, bumper repair, dent repair, deer damage repair, auto body repair, auto paint, auto glass, insurance claim assistance, frame repair, and rust repair. From a parking lot ding in town to a deer strike coming back from Houghton Lake, if it's body or collision work, we do it.
Our standards
We do frame straightening to factory specifications, use quality replacement parts, and run a controlled paint booth for color matching that holds up to Michigan winters. We work directly with all major insurance carriers so you don't chase adjusters or decipher paperwork.
